Be a giant!

Bekonscot isn’t just one village; there are six charming little villages in a 1½ acre miniature landscape of farms and fields, castles and churches, woods and lakes! Walking around, you’ll tower over the tiny population enjoying the fun of the fair, visiting the zoo, or lazily watching the cricket on the village green.

The ultimate trainset?

The busy model railway weaves its way through the beautifully crafted gardens, under paths and over bridges. With a full-size signalbox in control and seven stations to serve, this incredible Gauge 1 line is one of the most complex, and famous, in the country. There are often more than 7 passenger and goods trains operating at once!

Gorgeous gardens and moving models

Thousands of manicured alpine plants and dwarf conifers make up the backdrop to the many working models, such as the Coalmine, ouse on fire, Fairground, Windmills, and Tramway. Listen out too for the choir, brass band, morris men, and station announcer!

Did you know?

Bekonscot was created in 1929 as the hobby of one man, Roland Callingham. Since then, our profits have gone to charity and well over £1,000,000 has been distributed so far!

Paradise for photographers, a fascination for model-makers, an admiration for gardeners, ‘Heaven’ for children, in fact a MUST for the whole family.
